Dr. Nilantha Sapumanage

Dr. Nilantha Chameekara Sapumanage is an internationally acclaimed, reputed researcher, Chartered Engineer specialized in Electrical Engineering, Member of IESL is our Consultant Engineer, who is seriously working towards to achieve his 2nd Chartered Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters-CILA (UK), and is also looking forward to engage in DP3 in Dip-CILA (UK). He is one of the key Senior Consultants in our organization and CORE Team.

A product of St. Mary’s College, Hambantota; Dr. Nilantha Sapumanage was exposed to working with international and national professional bodies, regulators to prestigious blue-chip Companies both in Sri Lanka and overseas;  and former Director of Inspectorate Division, and currently holds the position of Deputy Director General of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUSL).

He presently holds memberships as a Corporate Member of Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), Toastmaster Club of IESL, Building Services Engineer’s Committee, and Electrical Engineer’s Committee of IESL; presented papers and participated international Conferences at International Conference Lightning Protection - ICLP : (33rd ICLP), Estoril, Portugal, 2016; (34th ICLP), Rzeszow Poland, 2018; and (35th ICLP), Sri Lanka; and also at International Conference on Mathematical Computer Simulations, 2021, and Asia Electromagnetic Conference (9th ASIAEM), Xian China, 2019.

With his deep professional and research backgrounds, Dr. Nilantha also advices Loss Assessors and Loss Adjusters, and also possesses a vast array of solid experience in Probability-based risk assessment on class 2 electronics due to transient over-voltages, Simulation of direct lightning attachment to a power line, and comparing the results with calculated risk levels.

Dr. Nilantha has officially obtained approval from his current employer to offer Consultancy services to A 2 Zee Technocrats Pvt Ltd, and to help loss adjusters investigating and assessing of insurance claims, especially damages due to transient voltage surges or otherwise; as he is an expert in this field. He will work on every encounter that does not interfere with conflict of interest, like all our specialists and professionals.
