Lal de Silva

Mr. S. Wilmalasiri Lal de Silva is a Qualified Fire Specialist who is highly conversed in NFPA and BS standards, specialized in Forensic Investigation regarding Fire Incidents, is our Senior Consultant Fire Risk Specialist attached to our Insurance Claims Investigations Division. 

A product of Siddhartha College, Balapitiya and Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda; Mr. de Silva commenced his professional career as a Fireman at Sri Lanka Air Force was a pioneer team member of firefighters when SLAF handled operations at our country’s then only premium Airport, Bandaranayake International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Lal de Silva later joined Ceylinco Group, and from his humble beginning as a Fireman, he rose to Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Chief Fire Officer, Fire & Safety Manager, and finally retired as a Group Manager for Fire & Safety.

He had also served another blue chip business conglomerate - Richard Peries & Company, and later also served as General Manager at KMI Fire Protection Company.

With his deep professional and practical back-grounds in Fire Risk Management over 35 years, Mr. Lal de Silva was a perfect resource for us to offer our customers relevant services.

He had also undergone deep training programmes on Fire Engineering, Fire Protection, Fire Safety is a Specialist Member of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management of United Kingdom, and a widely known recognized professional in the industry as a Fire Risk & Safety Specialist.
